CAD Detailer - Experiential & Events
Experience Without Limits
Come shape the future of brand experience.
Great exhibits don’t happen because someone can draw a line in CAD. They happen because someone knows how to turn an idea into something that can actually be built.
We’re looking for a CAD Detailer - Experiential & Events who thrives on that challenge. Someone who can take a designer’s vision, break it down, solve the technical details, and turn it into a fabrication-ready reality.
If you’re energized by complex designs, love figuring out how things go together, and get satisfaction from seeing something you detailed come to life on the show floor, this role is for you.
What You’ll Make Happen
- Turn creative design concepts into smart, buildable, and cost-effective fabrication solutions.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, plans, elevations, control drawings, assembly drawings, and setup drawings.
- Develop 3D solid models that are ready for real-world manufacturing.
- Detail components for CNC cutting, fabrication, assembly, transportation, and installation.
- Create clear drawings showing materials, finishes, hardware, dimensions, tolerances, part numbers, and electrical requirements.
- Develop setup drawings that help installation teams confidently bring an exhibit together on the show floor.
- Detail solutions involving hanging structures, lighting, electrical, networking, AV, flooring, staging, and component placement.
- Work directly with Designers to make sure big creative ideas remain functional and manufacturable.
- Partner with Project Management to keep projects moving and solve technical challenges along the way.
- Collaborate with Fabrication to make sure what leaves CAD works in the shop.
- Support Service teams with prep, staging, shipping, and installation drawings.
- Provide Graphics with accurate elevations and graphic-placement opportunities.
- Work with external vendors to ensure their work aligns with the project vision and company standards.
- Create and maintain libraries of parts, layouts, and frequently used products.
- Apply knowledge of ADA requirements, building codes, show-floor regulations, and fabrication standards.
- Find opportunities to improve detailing processes, standards, and workflows.
What You Bring
- 2–5 years of detailing experience, ideally in the exhibit industry, architectural fabrication, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong AutoCAD 2D & 3D skills.
- Understanding of millwork, metal fabrication, and basic engineering concepts.
- Strong knowledge of drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of production materials and how they can be used effectively.
- CNC programming experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Acrobat.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Creative, analytical, and practical problem-solving skills.
- Strong organization and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects without losing sight of the details.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve.
- Confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and suggest better ways to build.
