Project Accountant

London, England, United Kingdom

Experience Without Limits
Come shape the future of brand experience.

At Jack Morton, we design and build head-turning, smile-inducing, impact-driving brand experiences that redefine what experiential marketing can achieve. We help our clients unlock the full value of experiences by turning bold ideas into meaningful connections.

That takes a team that's bold, curious, and acts as one. We build on each other's ideas, challenge conventions, and show up for one another every day. Here, you'll do your best work, grow quickly, and partner across clients, disciplines, and global teams to bring new ideas to life.

This is a place where curiosity drives what’s next, boldness raises the bar, and every win is shared. Where ownership is expected, egos are left at the door, and the work reflects the passion and talent of the people behind it.

Experience without limits—in your work, your growth, and your impact.

We’re looking for a Project Accountant to join our Finance team and play an important role in supporting the delivery of our projects.

If you are a Accounts assistant with experience using Dynamics and want to join a fast paced team, this could be the perfect step up.

Working within a fast-paced experiential marketing agency, you’ll partner closely with producers, project teams and colleagues across Finance to help ensure our projects are financially accurate, well managed and up to date. It’s a varied role combining project accounting, billing, reconciliations and revenue reporting, with plenty of interaction across the wider business.

What you’ll be doing

As Project Accountant, you’ll provide day-to-day financial and administrative support to our project teams, producing financial analysis, project reconciliations, billing updates and accurate revenue reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

Project reconciliations

  • Reconcile project information between Dynamics 365 and Procim, our project management system, investigating and resolving any differences.
  • Work closely with producers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are complete, accurate and up to date in Procim.

Billing

  • Raise accurate and timely sales invoices in Dynamics 365.
  • Liaise closely with project teams to confirm billing requirements and ensure billing is completed promptly and accurately.

Project administration and revenue

  • Maintain accurate project and contract information in Dynamics 365 and Procim.
  • Ensure appropriate supporting evidence is maintained for revenue reporting.
  • Apply revenue recognition methods, including reviewing project status, costs, billing and supporting documentation.
  • Respond to queries from the wider Finance team in a timely manner.

Supporting the wider Finance team

  • Assist the Project Accounting Manager and other members of the Finance team with ad hoc projects and activities as required.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll work closely with producers and project teams, heads of department, Accounts Payable and colleagues across the wider Finance team, giving you good visibility across the business and the projects we deliver.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is organised, comfortable working with detail and enjoys building relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues.

You’ll ideally have:

  • AAT Level 4 qualification, or be close to completion, with approximately one to three years of relevant finance experience.
  • Experience of billing, reconciliations and basic revenue recognition within a project-based environment.
  • Confidence communicating with non-finance stakeholders and taking ownership of project queries and follow-up actions.
  • Experience using finance and project systems. Dynamics 365 experience is preferred, although experience with another ERP system is absolutely fine.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.

Nice to have

It would be great, but isn’t essential, if you also have:

  • Experience working in marketing, advertising, events or another project-based industry.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and/or Procim.

Last but not least, we believe in diversity, equity and inclusion.
