The Role at a Glance

As our Carpenter, you will construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures using wood, metal, and other materials, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. We'll count on you to interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials accurately, and collaborate with the construction team to deliver projects safely and efficiently. In this key role, you’ll need strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to evolving project demands while maintaining a commitment to safety and quality.

How You'll Drive Results  

  • Build Strong Structural Frameworks: Accurately measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials to construct reliable frameworks for walls, floors, and roofs in accordance with blueprints and building codes.
  • Deliver High-Quality Installations and Finishes: Skillfully install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, molding, and other fixtures, ensuring precision and attention to detail for both interior and exterior elements.
  • Restore and Maintain Structures: Perform repairs on existing structures, replace damaged or worn components, and uphold safety and durability standards.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and building regulations while maintaining tools and equipment in top condition to foster a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.
  • Coordinate with Project Teams for Seamless Execution: Work closely with superintendents, project managers, and other trades to synchronize carpentry work with overall project objectives.
  • Optimize Materials and Resources: Manage materials efficiently to reduce waste and enhance cost-effectiveness on projects.

 


Essential Functions 

You must be able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders frequently, with the ability to walk on uneven ground and work above ground on scaffolds. Standing for up to seven hours during an eight-hour shift is also expected. Requires the ability to maintain balance on uneven surfaces and scaffolding at various heights, ensuring safety in all work conditions. Good finger manipulation is essential to handle tools effectively and operate equipment. Team members must be able to carry and use hand tools, climb on both light and heavy equipment, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance required for heavier items. Must have depth perception to navigate safely around hazards, and the ability to hear horns and sirens on moving equipment. Outdoor work in temperatures from 25 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit is also required.
