Position Summary
Jackson Construction, a leader in education construction for over 40 years, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive our growth in North Texas. This role focuses on building strong relationships, identifying new project opportunities, and securing work in the $5M–$250M range — particularly in the K–12 market sector.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business in the North Texas K-12 market, including the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, extending south to Waco.
- Develop and maintain relationships with public sector clients, architects, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and maintain a database of districts planning construction.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and bids.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align proposals with capabilities.
- Attend school board and client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
- Represent the company and enhance its brand visibility.
- Maintain a sales pipeline and meet revenue targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (construction, marketing, business, or related field preferred).
- Strongly preferred: Experience in K-12 and public construction.
- Proven sales success in construction.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, professional, and adaptable.
