Lease Operator

jade owls is a fast-growing oil & gas operator built on integrity, grit, and cash flow. Since 2022, we’ve grown more than 65x and currently operate 13,500 BOPD across Northeast Wyoming and Oklahoma. 

We’re seeking an experienced Lease Operator to support daily field operations and production optimization. 

Compensation & Benefits 

  • Hourly, non-exempt position
  • Eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state wage and hour laws 
  • Pay range: $33 – $43 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

 Responsibilities 

  • Operate and monitor wells, tanks, pumps, and production equipment 
  • Perform daily inspections to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations 
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues independently 
  • Measure production volumes and recommend optimization improvements 
  • Complete accurate daily production and equipment reports 
  • Prepare oil tanks for sale and coordinate oil and water hauling 
  • Ensure compliance with OCC, BIA, BLM, OSHA, and OK DEQ requirements 
  • Participate in route reviews and collaborate with Foremen and Engineering 
  • Maintain positive landowner and community relationships 
  • Provide coverage for Foremen and assist with training entry-level Operators as needed 

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Process Tech or Maintenance Tech degree preferred 
  • Previous oil & gas field experience preferred 
  • Knowledge of various well types and production equipment 
  • Strong safety mindset; comfortable working independently 
  • Reliable, driven, and team-oriented 
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR 
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check 

Work Environment 

  • Outdoor field work in all weather conditions 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment and H2S environments 
  • Working independently more than 80% of the time
