Campus Recruiter - Partnerships & Initiatives

About the Position

We are looking for a strategic thinker and enthusiastic networker who can help us plan and execute a range of campus recruiting initiatives to attract outstanding interns and full-time employees across multiple countries and business areas. While some professional recruiting experience and knowledge of the recruiting landscape across the APAC region would be ideal, it is not a prerequisite to thrive in this role. 

Our team has a long track record of hiring talented people who are interested in recruiting and coaching them to their full potential. From your first day, regardless of your starting point, we will teach you the ins and outs of recruiting at Jane Street—and we’ll continue to support your professional growth over time with on-the-job training and mentorship.

To start, your day-to-day will involve planning and attending various types of recruiting events (e.g., on-campus, virtual, and in-office), building and maintaining relationships with universities and external partners and communicating with prospective candidates. We will rely on your expertise in event design and coordination, along with your experience managing partnerships and sponsorships, to bring fresh ideas to our approach and help us anticipate where and how we need to engage to find the next wave of exceptional talent. This will require finding solutions to big, interesting problems while also getting the little details right.

This role sits on our Early Careers Partnerships & Initiatives (ECPI) team, which is part of our broader global Campus Recruiting team. Our ECPI team is a highly supportive, collaborative, and inventive group of people that spans across our New York, London, Singapore, and Hong Kong offices.

About You

  • 3+ years of professional experience, ideally in recruiting or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of the recruiting landscape across APAC is preferred
  • Eager to learn new skills and make an immediate impact; humble about what you don’t know and not afraid to ask for help when needed
  • Organised self-starter who can handle competing priorities and manage their workload
  • Approachable team player with a “no job too small” attitude
  • Clear communicator with colleagues, candidates, and external partners
  • Strong event-planning skills; excited to organize and participate in a range of recruiting events, and enthusiastic about travelling to attend recruiting events on a regular basis
  • Curious about the operations of the firm and how recruiting fits into the bigger picture
  • No previous financial industry experience is required
  • Fluency in English is required
