Workday Financials Specialist
About the Position
We are looking for a Workday Financials Specialist to join our global team. We use Workday to support our global Infrastructure and Technology teams, and its flexibility and performance are critical to our firm’s success.
You will help support the system administration and maintenance, with a focus on finding ways to scale and optimise processes by automating Workday tasks and information. You’ll also work closely with members of our Accounting, Procurement, Tax and Tech teams, as well as system vendors, to meet the accounting technology needs of our firm.
We are a global team, which means your day-to-day work will include providing support and enhancements for our overseas offices in addition to supporting our local Hong Kong team.
Additional responsibilities of this role will include:
- Assisting with all system queries, issue resolution and ongoing workflow
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, conduct testing and ensure successful user adoption
- Supporting the design, development and maintenance of custom reports to address business needs and inquiries
- Auditing and monitoring of financial data to ensure accuracy
- Creating and maintaining documentation, such as operational guides, end-user documents and FAQs, and supporting end-user training initiatives
- Executing or coordinating the testing of new business processes, system modifications and updates
- Monitoring upcoming product releases, reviewing release notes, assessing new features and understanding their impacts on business processes and system functionality
- Recommending improvement opportunities and continuously innovating across our Workday platform and broader systems infrastructure
About You
- Have 3+ years of Workday Financials experience and preferably a bachelor’s degree
- Understand system design, configuration and administration with a focus on accounting, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, taxes and financial reporting
- Knowledgeable in system integrations and ensuring the proper data flow of financial information to other systems
- Experienced with reporting tools and security configuration in Workday
- Self-motivated; can demonstrate sound judgement and initiative while keeping others informed as appropriate
- Able to handle competing priorities and work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Team player who is collaborative and flexible in nature
- Mature, trustworthy and discreet, with an appreciation for the importance of confidentiality in this role
- Fluent in English
