Software Engineer, JazzX (New AI Venture at SAI Group)

Role Overview:

Software Development Engineer

As a Software Development Engineer, you’ll help design, build, and maintain key parts of our enterprise AI platform — a system that powers smarter, more efficient work experiences for enterprise users. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers, learning from them while contributing to real-world projects that use cutting-edge AI technologies.

What You’ll Do

Design and Build

  • Develop reliable, high-performance software components and services that support our AI-driven platform.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following modern design and development best practices.
  • Learn and apply scalable, cloud-based engineering patterns (e.g., microservices, APIs, distributed systems).
  • Stay curious about new tools, technologies, and AI trends — and bring those ideas to the team.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with AI engineers, backend and frontend developers, designers, and product managers to turn product ideas into real features.
  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews to share knowledge and improve team quality.
  • Communicate your progress and challenges clearly, helping the team stay aligned.
  • Learn from senior engineers and contribute to a culture of teamwork and learning.

Operational Excellence

  • Help ensure that new features integrate smoothly into the platform and perform reliably in production.
  • Contribute to setting up monitoring, testing, and automation tools to improve quality and performance.
  • Learn and follow DevOps practices that make development, deployment, and maintenance faster and safer.

Requirements

Experience

  • Around 2–5 years of experience designing, building, or maintaining software systems — ideally in a cloud-based environment.
  • Familiarity with containers (like Docker) and orchestration tools (like Kubernetes) is a big plus.
  • Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools (such as Terraform or CloudFormation) to manage and deploy cloud resources is helpful.
  • Exposure to AI, ML, or data-driven systems is a strong bonus — curiosity and willingness to learn in this area are highly valued.

Development Lifecycle

  • Hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle — from designing and prototyping to building, testing, deploying, and supporting real-world applications.
  • Some experience with enterprise-scale or data-centric systems is preferred, especially those involving AI/ML components.
  • Comfortable using version control (like Git), writing tests, and working in modern DevOps or agile environments.

Technical Skills

  • Solid programming skills in at least one or more of the following languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or C++.
  • Understanding of cloud technologiesAPIs, and modern frameworks for backend or frontend development.
  • (Nice to have) Experience or interest in AI/ML tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, or LlamaIndex — or exposure to LLMs and AI agents.
  • growth mindset — you’re curious, eager to learn, and open to exploring new technologies. You enjoy solving problems, experimenting, and collaborating with others to build great products.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
