Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Logistics Transportation Manager with expertise in trucking, including LTL (Less Than Truckload), FTL (Full Truckload), and last-mile delivery. This role requires a strong network of supplier relationships and a deep understanding of the transportation industry. The Logistics Transportation Manager will play a critical role in optimizing transportation operations, managing supplier partnerships, and ensuring seamless delivery services for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily transportation operations, ensuring efficiency and timely delivery for LTL, FTL, and last-mile services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with trucking suppliers and transportation providers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with carriers and suppliers, focusing on cost savings and service improvements.
- Monitor transportation performance metrics and implement strategies to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation in operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align transportation strategies with overall business objectives.
- Analyze data to identify transportation inefficiencies and implement actionable solutions.
- Resolve transportation-related issues promptly and communicate updates to stakeholders effectively.
- Lead and mentor a team of transportation coordinators or support staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in transportation management, specifically in trucking operations (LTL, FTL, last-mile).
- Strong network and established relationships with transportation suppliers and carriers.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, transportation regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to secure competitive supplier agreements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $140,000* (actual salary may vary based on experience and qualifications).
