Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 Annually
Job Summary: The Supply Chain Procurement Manager will be responsible for procuring transportation services, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing logistics costs. This role will ensure that the company secures reliable and cost-effective transportation solutions while maintaining strong partnerships with carriers and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the transportation industry, strong negotiation skills, and experience in logistics cost management.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with transportation and logistics vendors to secure the best rates and service levels.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight brokers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).

Analyze transportation costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize logistics spend.

Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service agreements, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with internal teams to forecast transportation needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.

Lead RFP (Request for Proposal) processes for transportation services and manage bid evaluations.

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting transportation procurement.

Work closely with finance and operations teams to track and report on transportation budget performance.

Implement and maintain data-driven decision-making tools for supplier selection and cost analysis.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce logistics expenses.
Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in transportation procurement, logistics management, or supply chain operations.

Strong knowledge of transportation modes, including trucking (FTL, LTL), ocean, air, and intermodal logistics.

Excellent negotiation skills and experience in vendor management.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop cost-saving strategies.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with transportation management systems (TMS)
