Part Time Receptionist and Office Assistant
We are seeking a motivated, energetic candidate for receptionist/office assistant. The ideal candidate for this position would possess a working knowledge of office principles and a high level of organization and attention to detail. The position duties would include but are not limited to: handling all mail processes (to include picking up and opening all incoming mail, sending out all mail), general office duties (to include ordering and stocking office supplies and kitchen supplies), and maintaining the appearance of the reception area.
Our organization is a fast paced, growth-oriented company that is in a constant state of evolution to better ourselves. We are seeking someone adaptable and eager to learn as well as self-motivated and can work independently while being a part of a bigger team.
This role is Part Time 25 Hours Per Week in our Springfield Office.
Work Hours are 9am-1pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Handle all outgoing mail: seal and stamp all outgoing mail, mail outgoing correspondence, take mail to post office, schedule pickup for overnight packages.
- Handle all incoming mail: pick up mail from the post office or retrieve from the mailbox at the office, open, date stamp, and sort the mail for distribution to the office staff. Open and distribute all mail received by other delivery services (UPS, Fed-Ex, etc.)
- Order all office supplies and manage/organize the supply closets.
- Manage office service calls (printers, building services, etc.)
- Learning several different software programs, specific to the insurance industry.
Requirements:
- Sufficient knowledge of office principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Initiative to take adequate steps to succeed
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to independently adhere to company policies and procedures with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel® is a plus
- High school diploma
- Minimum 1 year employment in an office environment - helpful but not
