Social Content Manager - Oak Essentials

The Social Content Manager at Oak Essentials is responsible for the day-to-day strategy and execution of social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn. They play a crucial role in upholding the brand's aesthetic essence while driving performance, and ensuring the seamless execution of marketing and brand endeavors. The Social Content Manager will have a keen eye for trends and social concepts, while also being hyper-organized and data driven. 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Content Calendar Development and Strategy: Collaborate with the team in conceiving data-driven social strategies for marketing campaigns and product launches. Create social media content calendars for daily channel posting, and provide copy, content or graphic briefing for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Shoot Attendance: Available to sit in on photoshoots and generate captivating social media content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. 
  • Social Content Scheduling: Executes on the social media calendar, scheduling and posting across channels. 
  • Social Media Monitoring:  Responsible for managing data and providing analytical reporting. Identify and analyze trending sounds, visuals, and concepts, and present them to the wider social team.
  • Cross-Departmental Communication: Facilitate communication and coordination between internal departments, including marketing, retail, production, and purchasing, to ensure the seamless execution of creative undertakings and social content initiatives.
  • Social Content Creation: Craft visually arresting graphics, animations, concise videos, and other content formats that harmonize with the brand identity.
  • Video Editing: Carry out video editing responsibilities for social media channels, brand initiatives, and other related tasks.
  • Community: Connect with our audience across social media channels through comments and DMs.
  • Feedback and Direction: Participate in the feedback and direction procedure, ensuring lucid and effective communication among the diverse teams engaged in the creative process.
  • Other brand marketing ad hoc requests, as required. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3+ years managing social media channels and content calendars. Experience in skincare, beauty, fashion and/or wellness is a plus.  
  • Creative and strategic mindset, with the ability to make recommendations that are on-brand, from a performance driven lens.
  • Deep understanding of social media landscape/internet culture, specifically TikTok and Instagram, with a keen eye for new trends, changes in algorithm, etc.
  • Well-versed in iPhone photo and video editing apps, with the ability to create on-brand content quickly.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate feedback and direction among diverse teams.
  • Ability to oversee various stages of the creative process, including aggregating assets, generating graphics, securing approvals, and delivering final social content
  • Excellent organization, planning and management skills, with the ability to keep up with multiple accounts and projects.
  • Experience with Dash Hudson, Asana, Monday and/or Coupa is considered an asset. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to move and lift heavy objects (15 pounds or more) from time to time as required

Oak Essentials, LLC, is committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment. The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000. The base salary is determined by experience, education, skills, and location.
