E-Commerce Fulfillment Lead

As a Picking Lead at Jenni Kayne, you will oversee daily picking and replenishment operations within the distribution center. This role is responsible for driving productivity, accuracy, and team engagement while ensuring inventory integrity and operational excellence across all picking functions.
Role and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead and support associates responsible for replenishing pick modules, ensuring inventory is accurately stocked in correct bin locations without overfilling
- Oversee all picking activities, including use of the 6RS Chuck system and RF Smart scanning for order fulfillment
- Supervise resolution of “hospital” orders (incomplete/missing items) to ensure accurate and timely order closure
- Communicate clear direction to team members while fostering a positive, engaged, and accountable team environment
- Set performance expectations and ensure achievement of key metrics related to productivity, quality, and safety
Inventory & Systems Management
- Maintain a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and troubleshoot issues by partnering with appropriate internal or external teams
- Ensure all inventory transactions, counts, and system updates are executed accurately
- Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes as needed
- Monitor product quality and escalate issues to prevent operational disruption
Warehouse Standards & Compliance
- Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and overall condition of the pick module and bin locations
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Document team member performance, attendance, and conduct as required
- Serve as a role model for safe work practices and reinforce a culture of safety
Operational Excellence
- Promote best practices in warehousing, including:
- Safety: Awareness of surroundings and safe operation around equipment such as forklifts, carts, and automated systems
- Organization: Maintain clean, organized workspaces and ensure supplies are stocked and accessible
- Housekeeping: Uphold cleanliness standards across the warehouse, including shared spaces such as breakrooms and restrooms
- Support cross-functional needs and assist in other operational areas as required to ensure efficiency
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 1+ year of experience working with computers, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications Physical Requirements
- 1+ year of leadership or team lead experience
- 2–4 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, or large retail environments
- Experience working with performance metrics and process improvement initiatives (lean principles a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and develop team members
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
- Comfortable using warehouse equipment such as carts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to navigate storage racks, trailers, and warehouse floor environments
- Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions, including temperature changes, dust, and moderate noise levels

The hourly rate for this position is $19 per hour. The base salary is determined by experience, education, skills, and location.
