Job Overview
Jensen Hughes is seeking talented Security Design Consultants to join our team. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and encourage applications from individuals who are passionate about creating safe and secure environments. While preference is given to those located near our Chicago or Baltimore offices, remote work options are available to accommodate diverse needs and locations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on security system designs across various sectors, producing detailed plans, diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Recommend and implement physical, technical, and operational security solutions tailored to diverse applications and environments.
- Create and refine security specifications to meet client and project needs.
- Foster strong, inclusive relationships with clients, providing responsive support, proposals, and proactive engagement to drive new business opportunities.
- Conduct comprehensive physical and technical security assessments for various facility types, including corporate, government, industrial, and residential.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, ensuring that budgets, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Proactively seek new opportunities and strengthen existing relationships to expand business offerings.
- Some travel required (estimated at 25%).
Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 (five) years of professional experience in security design, with a proven ability to build trusted, advisory relationships.
- Strong understanding of security and risk management principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience in creating security system designs, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with security technology and AutoCAD and/or REVIT software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active security clearance.
- Professional certifications such as CPP and/or PSP.
- Manufacturer certifications in electronic security systems.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary consulting environment.
- Experience with security design projects for the Department of State/Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations.

National Pay Range
$125,000 - $145,000 USD
