Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for Certified PE (Professional Engineer in US and/or Korea) & Hospitality Projects Lead to join our ever-expanding Korea team.
In this role, you will report to the Vice President for Jensen Hughes, Korea and will be responsible for managing a team consisting of direct and indirect reports and will be accountable for the business performance of the group. In this role, you will work with the leadership team of Team Leaders / Directors and managers to develop and execute the strategies required to achieve high levels of technical and financial performance across the range of our professional consulting services, including the management and setup for of a wide variety of fire protection design, engineering, and consulting projects
This role will be based in Seoul, Korea.
Responsibilities
- Deliver consulting services of Jensen Hughes domestic and overseas projects.
- Take the lead role for Hospitality Projects, with 2 direct reports and 9 indirect reports
- Take the lead role for fire protection facility design and engineering, with 4 direct reports and 100+ indirect reports
- Management and implementation of a wide variety of fire protection design, engineering, and consulting projects
- Set performance and financial goals and attain them through positive motivation, teamwork, and engaged leadership
- Foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment that produces high quality deliverables that meet and exceed client expectations, schedules, and budgets.
- Align around the Jensen Hughes Purpose and Principles to continuously improve our culture, enhancing the satisfaction of our employees and clients.
- Strongly focus on growing and developing our team members with a focus on technical skillsets, project management, and career path development and foster an environment that supports coaching and mentoring.
- Implement a regular operational cadence that aligns Operations, Business Development, and other Corporate Functions.
- Assess, evaluate, and report on overall team and individual team member performance. Guide them through their career development and diversification of skillsets as required.
- Collaborate with other OLs, VPs, Service line leaders, other internal business partners, and stakeholders to align on and execute business strategies.
- Evaluate performance and adjust strategies based on emergent opportunities and risks.
- Train staff on and ensure compliance with company processes and drive improvement in those processes to deliver best-in-class services.
- Actively partner with the Strategy and Business Development team as well as our Operations seller/doers for client engagement and proposal support.
- Lead a diverse team that fosters an environment where feedback, coaching, and development opportunities are readily accepted as part of continuous improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Certified PE (Professional Engineer) in US and/or Korea is mandatory along with the 'right to work' in Korea
- Min. 15 years’ experience in fire protection facility design and engineering industry and projects along with people-leading leadership experience
- Proficient in Korean and English communication
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering is preferred
- Successful track record of building, developing, positively engaging, and inspiring a diverse team of employees to elevated levels of performance and proven success relationship building, networking, and enhancing client relationships.
- Good business acumen with considerable experience in project management, people management, and operations led business development efforts.
- Solid understanding of key business functions (e.g., engineering, finance, business development) and ability to evaluate business metrics and adjust operational execution to achieve desired results.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Willing to travel throughout the area of responsibility as needed.
