Job Overview
Jensen Hughes is the global leader in safety, security and risk-based engineering and consulting. Our most recent expansion in Europe early in 2023 was our first entry into the Danish market with the acquisition of Brandgruppen, a specialist fire engineering consultancy.
Jensen Hughes Denmark provides fire safety consultancy for all types of construction and is certified for all fire classes and third-party verification (BK2, BK 3/4 and Third Party Control). Our fire consultants are certified for all fire safety codes, ensuring we can document fire safety for any construction project. This applies whether the project follows prescriptive fireproofing requirements, performance-based requirements using fire and smoke spread or evacuation simulations, or a combination thereof.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking to hire additional Fire Engineering talent into our Denmark offices in Aarhus and Copenhagen.
Responsibilities
You will work with us to deliver complete and competent Fire Engineering consultancy for development companies, major architectural firms, general contractors and multi discipline consultancy companies.
Our projects span public and private sectors. We are involved in some of the largest construction projects in Denmark and at the same time also have access to even larger and more complex projects globally if this challenge is desired.
- Preparing fire strategies for a wide range of new and existing buildings.
- Take a lead on technical projects.
- Manage medium/large size projects including fee proposals and invoicing.
- Be the expert to our clients and that all important first point of call.
- Attend industry conferences to Network and embrace industry trends and best practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
To set you up for success in this role the following qualifications/experience are required:
- Engineering qualification alongside work experience in fire engineering on projects in fire class 2, 3 and 4.
- Right to work in Denmark.
- Excellent communication skills with native level proficiency in the Danish language. Additional language skills in English would be desirable.
