Job Overview

Jensen Hughes is seeking a Senior Fire Safety Engineer for managing complex projects in China and China client’s outbound projects.  This strategic growth position calls for professional expertise in the fire protection industry, designing, managing and supervising technically complex projects. In this role you will work with the China GB code, International Codes and standards such as NFPA, IFC, IBC., as well as the FM standards, ensuring project quality, consistency and timely delivery, building professional partnership with clients, governmental institutions and other multi-level stakeholders while leading a team of 2-3 members. Responsibilities

  • Interface and coordinate with Local Fire Approval Authority, Contractors, and Clients to obtain all required certificates for occupancy covering all Fire & Life Safety projects aspects - drawings review, Installations, Testing and Commissioning for Fire and Life Safety systems, managing team schedules, delivery and approvals与当地消防审批机构、承包商和客户进行沟通和协调,获得所有消防和生命安全项目所需的相关批复,包括图纸审查、消防和生命安全系统的安装、测试和调试、管理项目进度、交付和批准

  • Preparation of Fire & Life Safety calculations and technically complex reports including Fire Strategy reports and presentations for the management and clients准备消防和生命安全计算和复杂的技术报告,包括消防策略报告,并将成果汇报给业主或管理团队。

Requirements and Qualifications

要求和资质: 

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Engineering, (preferably Electrical/ Mechanical/Fire & Life Safety or related field),  China National Category I Chartered Fire Engineer or US PE chartered engineer is prioritized.  工程专业硕士及以上学历(电气/机电/消防与生命安全/安全或相关专业优先),中国一级注册消防工程师或美国PE注册工程师优先。
  • 6+ years of project experience covering all aspects starting from the design phase till project handover to the client and obtaining relevant authority approvals6年以上的项目经验,涵盖从设计阶段到项目移交给客户并获得相关部门批准的各个方面
  • Proven experience in managing teams along with proficiency in using engineering software and tools related to fire protection design including AutoCAD and Revit具有管理团队的经验,熟练使用工程软件和消防设计工具,包括AutoCAD和Revit
  • Proven experience in reviewing designs related to fire systems is prioritized, such as fire compartmentation, means of egress, sprinklers, standpipe, hydrant, clean agent, smoke management, fire alarm, voice evacuation etc. 具有消防系统相关设计审核经验者优先考虑,如防火分区、疏散出口、喷淋、立管、消火栓、气体灭火、防排烟、火灾报警、疏散广播等。
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies and able to undertake work independently优秀的口头和书面沟通能力,能够提出清晰和技术合理的消防工程策略,并能够独立承担工作
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills优秀的沟通和人际交往能力以及较强的分析、解决问题和决策能力
