Job Overview

The Business Development Support Specialist role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will combine business development coordination, sales administration, CRM management, opportunity tracking, proposal coordination, client database management, reporting and commercial support.

The successful candidate will work closely with Business Development leaders, technical teams, project managers and senior management to ensure that business development activities are well coordinated, opportunities are effectively tracked, and client and sales information is maintained accurately and efficiently. The position requires expertise in the areas of business administration, sales coordination and commercial processes, and have an interest in developing a career within business development in the engineering consultancy sector.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the KSA Business Development team in managing day-to-day sales, business development and commercial administration activities.
  • Maintain and regularly update the CRM, sales pipeline, opportunity tracker and client database, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end proposal, tender, RFQ, EOI and prequalification process, including timelines, documentation and internal inputs.
  • Prepare and maintain sales reports, forecasts, dashboards, client reports and management information.
  • Monitor business opportunities, project pipelines, tenders (Etimad, SAP Ariba, Oracle, etc.) and market developments to support identification of potential clients and new opportunities. Log new opportunities and track submission windows, clarifications, and deadlines.
  • Collect market and tender intelligence. Gather and log signals, leads, and client news.
  • Coordinate with technical, commercial, finance and operations teams to ensure timely and effective response to client and business development requirements.
  • Support client account management, including meeting coordination, presentations, follow-ups and maintaining records of client interactions.
  • Assist with client registrations, vendor onboarding, prequalification submissions and commercial documentation across KSA. Maintain the licenses, certificates, and registration documents in vendor portals, and flag renewals ahead of expiry.
  • Maintain an organized library of company credentials, project profiles, CVs, presentations, case studies and proposal content.
  • Provide general business administration and commercial support to the KSA leadership and Business Development team, ensuring efficient execution of sales processes and achievement of business growth objectives.
  • Handle Arabic-language correspondence and support Arabic client contact, including calls and written follow-up, alongside the business development team.
  • Initial Arabic translations of RFPs to support go no go decisions.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Management, Engineering or a related discipline, with 5–7 years of relevant experience in business development support, sales administration, commercial administration or business coordination.
  • Experience within an engineering consultancy, construction, infrastructure, professional services or technical services organization is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales administration, CRM management, opportunity tracking, proposal coordination and business development processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare professional reports, dashboards, presentations and management information.
  • Familiarity with Etimad, Sap Ariba, Oracle and other client and government tender portals and processes.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, proposals, deadlines and stakeholders effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, senior management and internal technical teams.
  • Arabic communication skills are essential, particularly for client interaction and coordination within the Saudi market.
  • Strong interpersonal, coordination and relationship-management skills, with a proactive and commercially focused approach to supporting business growth and client development.
  • Previous experience in the Saudi Arabian market, including familiarity with local clients, consultants, contractors, tendering processes and business practices, would be an advantage.
  • Based in Saudi Arabia.
