JOB SUMMARY: Jetaire is seeking an innovative and solutions driven Production Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing top producing teams and driving operational excellence. The Production Manager is responsible for making data-driven decisions in fast- paced and matrix-driven environments. Highly adept at identifying and establishing new process enhancements that optimize operational workflow to meet the needs of customers. The Manager must possess the ability to think analytically, communicate effectively, and deploy lean principles that drive efficiency and cost containment.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains staff by selecting, training, and developing employees while promoting growth opportunities.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains inventory of both material that needs to be ordered as well as completed manufactured products.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Other duties assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas on a variety of platforms.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting technical documents. Ability to write clearly and informatively routine reports, correspondence, and designs workflows and procedures. Presents numerical data effectively.
  • High ethical standards. Models and supports organization’s goals and values; adapts to changing conditions; demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles.
  • Solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data. Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment.
  • Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving work.
  • Builds bridges and connections by creating an open-door policy where employees feel comfortable expressing themselves and maintains confidentiality.
  • Follows through on commitments and takes accountability.
  • Willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and flexibility.
  • Action oriented, enjoys challenges, and drives for results.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of manufacturing experience, with Aviation/Aerospace and Defense experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of MRP / ERP, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Access, and other applicable tools.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with limited temperature control.
  • Six Sigma Lean certified with 3+ years of experience using Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Working knowledge of Quantum Control software, a plus.
  • Kaizen experience desirable
