What is JetZero?
Today’s aircraft contribute around 4% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.
JetZero is developing a blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft. It uses up to 50% less fuel and will be built to accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel.

We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Recruiter to drive hiring strategy and execution for our production and manufacturing functions. This role goes beyond individual requisition management—you will own end-to-end recruiting for high-volume manufacturing and technical roles in aerospace/OEM, while also guiding recruiting best practices, partnering closely with leadership, and mentoring team members.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the recruiting strategy for manufacturing, production, and technical roles, ensuring alignment with business and production goals.
- Lead intake and workforce planning discussions with senior manufacturing leadership, HR, and operations managers.
- Coach and mentor recruiters and coordinators, raising team capability in sourcing, candidate experience, and hiring execution.
- Develop advanced sourcing strategies to reach both active and passive talent in aerospace and OEM environments.
- Track, analyze, and present recruiting metrics to leadership, offering insights and recommendations to improve speed, quality, and diversity of hires.
- Represent the company at industry events, job fairs, and networking forums to strengthen employer brand.
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of recruiting experience, with significant time focused on high-volume manufacturing and aerospace/OEM hiring.
- Proven ability to lead recruiting projects, partner with senior leadership, and influence workforce planning.
- Experience mentoring and developing recruiting team members.
- Deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing requirements, certifications (AS9100, FAA/EASA), and skilled trade recruiting.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to use data to drive decisions and tell a compelling story.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Prior experience leading hiring for FAA-certified or safety-critical manufacturing roles.
- Experience scaling recruiting team in a fast-growth aerospace or OEM environment.
Compensation:
Our compensation package is a blend of base salary and equity options for eligible employees. The base salary is one part of a broader compensation package and is determined within a set range. These ranges are based on local labor market benchmarks for each role, level, and location. In California, the expected salary range is between $126,000 and $165,000. In North Carolina, the expected salary range is between $105,000 and $145,000.

Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
- The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view JetZero from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.
