Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day client accounting operations and lead a team of accounting professionals. This role combines hands-on accounting work with team management responsibilities, including reviewing deliverables, providing feedback, and mentoring team members. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements efficiently.

 

The Role:

  • Manage and mentor a team of Accountants, providing constructive feedback, guiding professional development, and monitoring workload balance within the team
  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of journal entries, reconciliations, work papers, client financial statements, and management reports
  • Drive multiple client engagements with your team, acting as both manager and individual contributor on complex accounting projects
  • Maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted accounting partner and providing insights on financial performance
  • Identify areas for improvement in internal processes, implement solutions, and contribute to organizational growth
  • Apply expertise in crypto accounting and blockchain technology (DeFi, NFTs, swaps, etc.), staying current with evolving standards and guiding clients on complex transactions
  • Ensure consistency and compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and organizational standards across all accounting activities
  • Support ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed

 

Job Requirements and Skills:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Experience in public accounting or client service environments strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to review and analyze complex accounting data
  • Prior exposure to digital assets (cryptocurrency, blockchain) 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
