AV Sales Director
JF Restaurants is a New York City-based hospitality group led by Michelin-starred Chef and Restaurateur John Fraser.
JF Restaurants at the Times Square Edition is seeking a highly motivated and experienced AV Sales Director to lead the audiovisual sales function for our premier event venue & restaurants. This is a sales-driven role that bridges technical production expertise with high-touch client service, tailored to concerts, large-scale productions, and corporate events. You’ll collaborate closely with the hotel’s sales and events teams to scope, quote, and close AV packages that align with our high standards of production and hospitality.
The ideal candidate has deep industry relationships, fluency in current AV trends and technologies, and a strong grasp of pricing structures and vendor networks. They are equal parts salesperson, technician, and trusted advisor—able to communicate complex needs simply and deliver solutions seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AV sales efforts for the venues, from client inquiry through contract execution
- Develop and deliver detailed AV proposals and quotes in partnership with the hotel sales team & Technical Director
- Serve as the subject matter expert on all AV, sound, lighting, and video systems used for events
- Maintain current vendor relationships while identifying and sourcing new production partners as needed
- Negotiate AV pricing & Packages, and work with the venue Director to manage margins & support revenue goals
- Translate client vision into technically sound AV plans, offering creative solutions to complex event needs
- Attend site visits, walkthroughs, and client meetings to provide technical expertise and sales support
- Oversee smooth handoff from sales to production teams to ensure execution matches expectations
- Track and report on AV sales performance and pipeline
- Stay abreast with industry trends, pricing benchmarks, and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in AV sales or technical production within concerts, large-format events, or corporate event environments
- Proven track record of closing high-value AV packages and driving revenue growth
- Strong technical knowledge of professional AV systems, including audio, lighting, video, projection, rigging, and power
- Familiarity with standard industry pricing models and vendor landscape
- Existing relationships with top-tier production vendors is a strong plus
- Excellent client-facing communication skills and ability to translate technical details into layman’s terms
- Comfortable working with luxury clientele and high-profile brands
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Experience collaborating with internal sales and event planning teams
- Proficiency in AV quoting software or CRM systems is a plus
