POSITION SUMMARY: Supervise the activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the manufacturing function. Maintain open line of communication regarding problems, break downs and anything that may effect schedule reliability. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensure timely and effective Production line start-ups Effective labor crewing for all positions for each line-producing product. Placement of temporary personnel labor positions for coverage of attendance issues. Obtaining and staging of all raw materials necessary for the entire shift production. Evaluating and receiving of all bulk inventory ingredients for usage and storage. Producing product efficiently in agreement with production schedule. Ensure all personnel comply with GMP, Safety and food safety procedures. Oversee mixing of dough batches in accordance with formula specifications. Oversee the mixing of remix batching to specifications. Ensure the product lines are producing at proper line speed and proper product weight. Oversee and ensure proper color, bake and shape is achieved for all products scheduled. Oversee the shift handling of all ingredients to be in compliance with food safety. Complete all necessary reporting of payroll time for their respective employees. Oversee the timely random product weight sampling efforts of line personnel. Ensure all shift personnel work safely and that machinery defects are reported timely. Handle all disciplinary matters in dealings with personnel when necessary. Oversee the proper completion of all HAACP reports. Provide training for employees in the areas of: Safety, GMP and Food safety. Initiate a daily labor schedule for needed personnel for following days schedule. Calculate and track usage of materials from the mixers batch sheets. Perform random plant safety audit and submit correctional work orders to maintenance. Attend meetings as scheduled and directed by management. Track all shift downtime in production and have maintenance perform shift repairs. Maintain logs for bulk ingredients receiving, line change sanitation. Prepare weekly bulk material ordering/delivery schedules. Report all attendance personnel issues to the HR department. Interface with all management personnel of all departments. Recommend any and all changes or problem areas in operation to Dir. of Mfg. Prepare Production Efficiency Report at end of shift. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associates degree preferred but not required 1-3 years food manufacturing knowledge
US Salary Pay Range
$65,000 - $68,000 USD
