POSITION SUMMARY: Partner with the Plant Senior Leadership Team to help solve complex organizational challenges, while ensuring we have the right people in the right function, helping us drive results and grow our business. Manage Union and Non-Union Human Resources Department, overseeing administration of hiring, retention, terminations, employee records, legal compliance, compensation, and payroll within the organization. Develop and implement company policies and procedures. Act as a direct liaison for J&J Snack Foods Corp for the development of employee welfare, performance goals, employee development, and auditing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Direct recruiting and talent management for exempt and non-exempt positions. Coordinate and conduct employee orientation and onboarding processes. Maintain compliance of all laws, policies, and procedures at the federal and state level including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, HIPAA, DOL, EEOC, and ADA. Investigate EEOC and employee claims of harassment, unfair treatment, and retaliation. Partner with management team to provide strategic insight and guidance critical for on-going positive employee relations. Manage disciplinary processes of all employees. Coordinate with Corporate Human Resources and Legal Counsel for major offenses and terminations. Oversee attendance policy for all applicable employees. Coach and train supervisors on interpreting and enforcing policy and procedures Develop, implement, and communicate policies and programs in collaboration with corporate and local management for the structure and organization of all Human Resource functions. Maintain employee performance reviews, action plans, merit increases and succession planning program. Grow and promote positive employee relations. Conduct employee/incident investigations as needed. Oversees bi-weekly payroll for all exempt and non-exempt employees. Oversee temporary staffing agencies, participate in contract negotiations, and ensure proper insurance requirements are met. Develop and maintain all company job descriptions complete with ADA analysis. Provide case management for State disability, Unemployment, FMLA and FLI claims. Supervise and manage responsibilities of the Human Resources Assistant. Primary contact for Compliance/Social Audits. Maintain retention and accuracy of all confidential personnel records, legal health records, and protected health information for all employees. Other projects set forth by Director of Human Resources and the Plant Manager. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and at least five years of prior experience in Human Resources Management for consumer product manufacturer required Professional certification such as the SPHR or PHR preferred. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications preferred. Experience with submitting 8850 claims and E-Verify and I-9 forms required. UltiPro and/or Greenhouse experience preferred.
