POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shared Services Specialist is responsible for executing various operational and administrative accounts receivable support tasks within the Shared Services environment. Utilizing analytical, accounting, and compliance principles, effectively audit and execute tasks in company-based systems, and customer-based portals to efficiently invoice, monitor EDI transactions, and collect payments. Interface with internal stakeholders and customers to promptly reconcile variances in compliance with internal controls and external customer requirements. This role supports the A/R Manager in performing key weekly and month-end close cash balancing and reporting requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Monitor, prepare, issue invoices and process credit memos efficiently and in compliance with contractual requirements and company pricing guidelines.

Manage all aspects of invoice delivery methods to ensure customer portals reflect receipt and interface with internal IT and customer-based technology departments to efficiently reconcile EDI related issues to support prompt payment.

Audit customer account records and outstanding balances daily to identify slow payment trends and proactively contact customers on payment status; including documenting call details in systems defined.

Analyze and reconcile invoice payment deductions, overpayments, and invoice disputes efficiently based on engagement with key stakeholders and customers to maintain accuracy of A/R totals and effective cash forecasting needs.

Receive, analyze, upload into ERP system, and reconcile 3rd Party Sales reports with VP of Sales and customers to support revenue accuracy and sales incentive programs.

Weekly, monitor and balance bank account totals associated with customer payments with ERP system cash posting GL totals and promptly investigate and reconcile discrepancies with the Cash team.

Support A/R Manager in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to maintain effective

 collector assignment targets and management

visibility.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Shared Services team. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 Must have an Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting function or plant operations.

 Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JDE, Oracle, NetSuite).             Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).

 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.        Strong communication and customer service skills.

 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

      Based on need and estimated to be infrequent based on planned Finance projects.
