POSITION SUMMARY:   

To handle daily clerical duties of the freezer warehouse operations and assist Freezer Warehouse Manager. (Vernon facility) 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Sign in all carriers and assign doors and dictate to Loaders what orders to pick and off-load. 
  • Communicate with carriers via phone and e-mail. 
  • Communicate with Transportation Department regarding appointments and carrier information. 
  • Assist Production and QA Departments regarding rework and requests for product. 
  • Analyze data in Excel and JD Edwards regarding inventory requirements. 
  • Report any food safety or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. 
  • Follows J&J Snack Food’s Food Safety Plan (FSP), the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the Good Documentation Practices (GDPs). 
  • Follows all OSHA safety rules and all food safety laws and regulations. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

  1. Education and training: High School diploma or GED.
  2. Job-related experience:
  • Minimum 1year experience working in warehouse, preferably as a Shipping Clerk. 
  • Warehouse Management System experience & proficiency to perform required transactions. 
  1. Managerial experience: N/A
  2. Technical knowledge and skills:
  • WMS experience and proficiency. 
  • Forklift/pallet jack certification. 
  • PC skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook E-Mail. 
  • Accurate data entry and 10 key by touch skills as well as other office equipment such as scanners, copiers, etc. 
  • Basic Math skills required. 
  • Must be forklift certified. Will be re-certified on Company equipment. 
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. 
  • Requires interpersonal skills and effective communication skills. 
  • Must be able to prioritize. 
  • Requires entering Freezer Warehouse. Will be issued appropriate Personal Protective Equipment. 

US Hourly Pay Range

$21.22 - $21.22 USD
