POSITION SUMMARY: Follow proper procedures and master maintenance schedule to keep equipment running and in top condition. Work safely and in an organized manner. Help with production, bother supervision and product quality when necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Follow procedures as set forth in the appropriate SOP, master maintenance schedule, downtime form and work order form.

Monitor product quality with respect to equipment operation.

Make sure all inspections are performed on time such as ladders, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, etc.

Maintain equipment per the master maintenance schedule.

Perform monthly glass and plastic audit.

Help with supervision of production personnel when necessary.

Keep work ear clean and organized.

COMPETENCIES:

To perform this job successfully, the Maintenance Mechanic must be self-motivated, able to problem solve, detail-oriented, and able to stay on task. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Mechanical & Electrical Experience- Required

Knowledge of VFDs, motors, electrical- Required

On Job Training

Food Manufacturing Maintenance Experience- Preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Employee will occasionally run errands for maintenance equipment.
