Senior Manager, Growth Marketing
Does driving growth at one of Canada’s fastest growing startups excite you?
If so, Jobber might be the place for you! We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Growth Marketing to join our Marketing department.
Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. We work with small home service businesses, like your local plumbers, painters, and landscapers, to transform the way service is delivered through technology. With Jobber they can quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers while providing an easy and professional customer experience. Running a small business today isn’t like it used to be—the way we consume and deliver service is changing rapidly, technology is evolving, and customers expect more. That’s why we put the power and flexibility in their hands to run their businesses how, where, and when they want!
Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has also been named on the Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50™, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500™ lists. With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011—but we’ve just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.
The team:
The Demand Generation team collaborates to develop, manage, and optimize integrated campaigns that drive leads for our self-serve and sales-assisted funnels.
As a valued member of the Demand Generation team, you’ll lead the Growth Marketing group to drive awareness among home service businesses, convert and monetize existing in-market demand, and help prospects keep Jobber top-of-mind.
The role:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Demand Generation, the Senior Manager, Growth Marketing will lead the design, implementation, and analysis of new demand generation programs to help accelerate the company’s growth, while also empowering your team. You’ll work collaboratively with other stakeholders, use data to make decisions, and be given autonomy to hold yourself accountable for decisions, outcomes, and timelines impacting your work and the business.
The Senior Manager, Growth Marketing will:
- Lead and coach a high-functioning team of Growth Marketers. You’ll lead a team of SaaS’s best and brightest growth marketers. It will be your responsibility to help lift blockers, eliminate bottlenecks, and serve as a sounding board as they problem-solve through a steady stream of unexpected challenges inherent to working in a rapidly evolving space (growth marketing) at a high-growth company.
- Define the Growth Marketing roadmap. You’ll work with your team to ideate, evaluate, scope, and score the growth opportunities with maximum potential impact. Then, you’ll work with key stakeholders across the organization to put your plans into action and measure results.
- Dig into the data. You’ll leverage customer and campaign performance data to draw insights, develop hypotheses, and proactively recommend testing opportunities to develop new channels and continuously improve KPIs.
- Collaborate and flex your project management abilities. You’ll be responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects and need to keep them on schedule and within budget. You’ll coordinate with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, RevOps, Design, Finance, and Product. It will be your responsibility to ensure all stakeholders are kept well informed of your team’s work and that your team has the resources it needs to succeed.
- Exercise your creativity to elevate the Jobber Brand. You’ll be responsible for millions of dollars in advertising budget, so it’s imperative that you understand our customers inside and out. You’ll partner with our in-house creative studio to produce ads, app store assets, and other forms of marketing collateral that speak to our audiences at various stages of the buyer journey, across multiple industries and marketing channels.
- Communicate your findings to other stakeholders. You’ll explain your test proposals to stakeholders for feedback and alignment. As well, you’ll document outcomes, report progress, and communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders and the leadership team on a regular basis.
To be successful, you should have:
- Direct experience leveraging offline and digital advertising platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Apple Search Ads, OTT/CTV, etc.) to acquire customers and optimize for ROAS
- Experience managing a performance/growth marketing team. In this time, you’ll have gained experience in people leadership, strategy development, and project management
- An entrepreneurial outlook, plenty of motivation, and a passion for helping small businesses
- A proven track record of effectively managing marketing budgets >$10M and being responsible for customer growth and revenue targets
- Experience leveraging a scientific, data-driven approach to develop demand generation programs through incremental testing and optimization
- Ability to extract and action meaningful insights from analytics platforms and/or CRMs (e.g. Tableau, Google Analytics, Salesforce)
- Flexible and responsive - ability to prioritize multiple tasks as needed and work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate proactively
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask, work independently, learn technical information quickly, and adapt AI-led solutions to accelerate growth
It would be nice (but not a deal-breaker!) if you had:
- Experience running integrated campaigns across a wide variety of media, such as linear TV, terrestrial radio, OTT/CTV, display, programmatic, app, search, and social
- Knowledge of software-as-a-service (SaaS) and common performance metrics
- Experience working in a high-growth startup or scaleup environment
