Alpha has offices in the US, Canada, Europe, and APAC. While our North America team can be based remotely (with occasional need to travel); our offices are located in New York, Toronto, Boston, Denver, Austin, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Roles and Responsibilities 

At Alpha, you will be pivotal in leading engagements to identify and implement solutions for a range of issues facing asset and wealth managers. Over the course of each project, you will collect and analyze data, prepare and test hypotheses, and present recommendations to the client to solve their unique business & technology challenges. 

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Managing project execution and a team of consultants ensuring the successful delivery of client engagements, including planning the day-to-day work of the team, facilitating client interviews and workshops, structuring client deliverables and ensuring Alpha’s standards for quality are met 
  • Creating a culture of continuous learning for the team and clients, and actively mentoring team members to develop their skillset as they progress in their careers   
  • Supporting Alpha FMC’s business development by driving the creation of client proposals, authoring thought leadership, and maintaining strong relationships with past and prospective clients  
  • Contributing to the wider Alpha community by making innovative and proactive contributions to one or more of Alpha’s business management or practice areas 
  • Maintaining a broad understanding of the challenges facing the Asset & Wealth Management Industry and acting as an expert in a least one area in demand by clients  

 

We want to hear from people with: 

  • At least 7 years of proven asset and/or wealth management consulting experience at a recognized consulting firm or through an ‘in-house’ consulting / program management role at an asset or wealth management organizations 
  • Knowledge and a personal viewpoint on key trends in asset management, such as front to back operating model, emerging products, and services 
  • Excellent consulting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with recognized consulting frameworks and techniques; experience of research, quantitative analysis, structured problem solving and executive communication techniques 
  • Proven track record of building and sustaining lasting relationships with C-Suite Executives, and ability to influence key stakeholders. This should include examples of client account management and supporting business development 
  • Operating model design and implementation experience impacting business processes and/or IT solutions in at least one business area such as Investments, Distribution, Middle & Back-office processes and outsourcing 
  • Familiarity with some of the core technology platforms in use in the industry (e.g. Aladdin, Charles River, Bloomberg, SimCorp, Salesforce) 
  • Intellectual capacity and ability to think in new and innovative ways to understand complex issues and develop creative solutions 
  • Ability to mentor and coach team members; focus on team achievement, not just individual goals 
  • Flexibility to travel if required

There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the range is $195,000 and $225,000 subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, employees would be eligible for both variable and non-variable benefits.
