their operations, provide recommendations on technology and process improvements that will

While Alpha Alternatives has an established relationship with many leading clients in our target
market, there is a significant opportunity to further expand our footprint. As a result, Alpha
Alternatives is hiring Senior Managers to join the Credit team to enable us to capitalize on this
growth opportunity.

The Role

Alpha Alternatives is seeking a Senior Manager to support the growth of our alternative credit
client segment by leading advisory, target operating model and roadmap definition
engagements; and supporting our Partners with client facing business development activities.
You will lead engagements to help investors in syndicated loans, direct lending, and asset
backed debt define an optimal technology and operations future state and bring it to fruition. In
parallel you will play a critical role in driving forward internal initiatives to grow Alpha’s ability to
meet our alternative credit clients’ needs through a differentiated range of high-quality consulting
capabilities. You will have the opportunity to learn at first hand from the senior leaders in our
business, and in so doing build the skillset for accelerated progression to Director.

You will lead client engagement teams focused on supporting our clients in defining their
technology and operational strategy, and implementing our recommendations in some of the
industry’s most complex and exciting transformation programs. You will be responsible for
managing workstreams including current state / future state analysis, strategic design, initiative
prioritization, sequencing, roadmapping and a phased approach to delivery. Through that
journey it will be important for you to build strong client relationships based on trust and domain
experience. As you build knowledge and experience, you'll become a credible advisor to junior
consultants within the organization, as well as your clients, helping them accelerate the delivery
of products and services to their users. As Alpha Alternatives maintains its position as a leader
in Private Markets technology and operations consulting, your ability to stay at the forefront of
innovative solutions will be critical.

  • Constant development of your understanding of current market trends and 
    processes, and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues
  • Understanding of our clients' unique ambitions and needs and the ability to refer 
    them to colleagues in other Alpha teams and areas to broaden our business 
    relationships where possible
  • Understanding of the tools, processes and applications used by Alternative Credit 
    investors
  • Passion for teaching our clients new methods and ways of working
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to identify improvement opportunities in 
    a client's operating model to execute more effectively
  • Proven ability to lead consulting engagements, and manage client expectations with
    limited oversight from Director level management
  • Ability to lead a small team of more junior resources, taking accountability for 
    delivery of deliverables in collaboration with Engagement Leads

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • 7+ years experience in management consulting, or operating in a change role 
    working with alternative credit investment, finance, or operations teams
  • Working knowledge of some of the wide range of credit instruments including the 
    following, but specifically with knowledge of Direct Lending or Broadly Syndicated 
    Loans: Term Loan, Revolvers, DDTL, Uni-tranche, Real Estate Debt, bonds, ABS 
    (MBS, CMBS, CLO), equity, warrants, FX, IRS, TRS, and CD
  • Working knowledge of some or all of the different types of investment products and 
    their liability nuances such as closed-ended, evergreen (40 Act), BDC, CLO, and 
    Insurance SMA
  • Experience leading project execution and guiding clients through complex 
    technology transformation initiatives
  • Experience in constructing client deliverables including Target Operating Models, 
    Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Process Flows, Functional Capability 
    Matrix, Project Plans / Roadmaps, Data Dictionaries, IT Architecture Design, Data 
    Flow Diagrams
  • Experience defining, communicating and tracking metrics for success (OKRs /KPIs)
  • Experience structuring multi-workstream, multi-year change programs with a 
    significant technology delivery component
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to create a compelling story from data 
    analysis
  • Ability to utilize storytelling techniques and industry experience to enhance 
    credibility and deliver insights
  • Ambitious and entrepreneurial in nature with the desire to grow in a collaborative 
    environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate effective across different internal teams to drive 
    consensus and action
  • Willingness to travel within North America as needed

There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the salary range is $162,500 – $210,000 USD for US-based hires and $180,000 – $225,000 CAD for Toronto-based hires, subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, candidates will be eligible for a variable bonus.
