Sr. Software Engineer / Tech Lead (AI Health-Tech SaaS, Hybrid) 

Location: Manhattan, New York City (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Responsibilities:

• Lead engineers across projects
• Architect and build full-stack feature end-to-end (Ruby on Rails, Python, SQL, JS/Vue/React)
• Drive technical vision, code quality standards, and engineering best practices
• Communicate complex concepts simply and help technical and non-technical teams align
• Ship quickly in iterative cycles: prototype, launch, iterate, scale
• Make pragmatic trade-offs to deliver value fast while maintaining product integrity
• Use AI tools to speed up engineering output for yourself and your team
• Build, maintain, and scale SaaS products that serve real patients and clinicians
• Own migrations, services, APIs, and long-term maintainability

• You think clearly and explain complex technical systems so non-engineers instantly understand. You make good trade-offs, move fast under pressure, and keep teams aligned on what matters most.
• You are an AI-native engineer who has already changed your workflow because of AI, faster prototyping, better reasoning, rapid debugging, automated scaffolding, or intelligent documentation loops. Tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or custom MCPs aren’t accessories; they’re part of how you operate. I 

Requirements:

• 7+ years full-cycle and full-stack experience (preferably Ruby on Rails + JS/Vue)
• Managed a team of at least 2 engineers
• You’ve built, shipped, and maintained production SaaS systems for years
• Strong architectural instincts and ability to coach others
• Clear communicator with high signal and low ego
• Startup or fast-paced environment experience
• Bonus: Healthcare, HL7/FHIR, data ingestion, ML/LLM interest

Work Style & Logistics:

• Manhattan, NYC, in-person at least 3 days per week.
