Director, Brand Marketing

About the Role: 

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Brand Marketing Director to lead the development, execution, and guardianship of our brand across all consumer-facing platforms. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, creative direction, and executional excellence. You will oversee the visual identity, brand voice, and campaign coherence across paid, owned, and earned channels. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, and is equally comfortable leading high-level strategy and rolling up their sleeves to get things done. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Brand Ownership & Strategy 

  • Serve as the chief steward of the Johnson Law Group brand and sub-brands ensuring alignment across all consumer touchpoints. 
  • Develop and evolve brand positioning, tone of voice, and visual identity to reflect firm goals and market context. 
  • Translate high-level business objectives into actionable brand marketing strategies. 

Creative & Cross-Channel Execution 

  • Oversee creative development across TV, radio, OOH, paid search, and programmatic—including briefing, production, and approvals. 
  • Lead creative agency relationships and ensure creative output is consistently on-brand, performance-oriented, and legally compliant. 
  • Partner with media teams to ensure creative and messaging are optimized for each platform. 

Website & UX Leadership 

  • Guide brand implementation across all websites, collaborating with designers and developers to ensure a best-in-class user experience. 
  • Own the website/landing page experience, visual hierarchy, and copy tone to reflect campaign priorities. 

Paid Social Collaboration

  • Partner with the Senior Paid Social Manager to support the development of static and UGC creative for paid social campaigns.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all paid assets while contributing strategic and visual input during the briefing and creative development process.

Social & Content Alignment 

  • Partner with the Social Media Manager to drive unified storytelling, visual consistency, and engagement across organic channels. 

Design System & Asset Management 

  • Maintain and evolve the brand and sub-brand toolkits, including templates, style guides, and creative libraries. 
  • Provide design support where necessary, with hands-on execution in Canva (Adobe CS or Figma a plus). 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, creative leadership, or integrated campaigns. 
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-channel marketing programs and vendor relationships. 
  • Exceptional visual and verbal storytelling ability. 
  • A self-starter with a proactive mindset—comfortable taking the lead, making decisions, and jumping in to execute when needed. 
  • Strong design instincts and ability to provide high-quality creative feedback. 
  • Fluency in tools such as Canva (required), Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Figma (preferred). 
  • Experience with website and UX development (Webflow a plus). 
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, project management, and communication skills.
