Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Victim Advocate Coordinator to join our team in either Houston or Chicago. This role is the first point of contact for individuals seeking justice and support, responsible for managing initial client outreach and interviews, gathering essential case information, and ensuring prospective clients receive attentive, professional support during the intake process.
The ideal candidate is an empathetic listener, a skilled communicator, and a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Because this role involves matters of a sensitive and confidential nature, discretion, professionalism, and client care are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth intake calls and interviews with prospective clients regarding potential mass tort matters.
- Document and organize client information accurately in the firm’s case management system.
- Ask thoughtful, guided questions to obtain critical case details while showing empathy and professionalism.
- Provide clear information to clients about next steps in the intake process.
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure seamless case handoff.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling client communications and records.
- Support process improvements and team initiatives that enhance client intake quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in legal intake, case management, client services, or related roles.
- Proven experience handling sensitive or difficult calls with a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals on confidential and personal matters.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to work in-office full time in either Houston or Chicago.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
