Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Personal Injury team. This role involves handling a broad range of personal injury matters and working collaboratively within a structured, team-based environment. The ideal candidate is client-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple matters while meeting the demands of an active caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle personal injury case files from inception through resolution.
- Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal guidance to prospective and existing clients.
- Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, subpoenas, memoranda, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research related to personal injury matters, including premises liability and applicable case law.
- Gather and analyze insurance policies, medical records, medical expenses, and other relevant evidence.
- Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
- Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients when appropriate.
- Represent clients at hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case activity within the firm’s case management system.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in the applicable jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience handling personal injury matters, with plaintiff-side experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to client service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus but not required.
- Experience conducting depositions, hearings, and mediations.
