About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to lead and manage our financial operations. As the Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company’s financial stability, growth, and success. You will be responsible for overseeing cash flow management, processing and tracking accounts payables and receivables, and building comprehensive financial reports using ERP tools like Netsuite. Additionally, you will drive risk management strategies across the organization, ensuring sound financial practices are followed at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Financial Operations Leadership: Manage and monitor cash flow, process billing for the various businesses, ensuring liquidity and efficient allocation of resources.
- Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accurate tracking and timely processing.
- Financial Reporting: Utilize ERP tools like Netsuite to generate and present financial reports, providing transparency and supporting executive decision-making.
- Hands-On Problem Solving: Take a proactive approach to identify issues and implement solutions (eg - building process to track cash collections with revenue operations team, treasury management, building 13 week cash flow forecast).
- Strategic Support: Assist executive leadership with financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, providing actionable insights to drive growth and profitability.
- Tax Filings and Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines and established accounting principles. Assist with billing and tax documentation preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of accounting experience with a focus on GL work and financial reporting.
- Prior experience as a Business Unit Controller or Corporate Assistant Controller.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Netsuite.
- Ability to work 5 days a week in our Bengaluru office with a fully in-person team.
