The Merchandise Coordinator will provide essential day-to-day support to the Head of Merchandise, ensuring the smooth execution of merchandise projects from concept through distribution. Based in New York, this role requires strong administrative skills, project management abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset to keep cross-functional projects on track and aligned with JOOPITER’s vision.
What You Get To Do
- Support Merchandise Operations: Assist the Head of Merchandise in managing timelines, deliverables, and administrative tasks across multiple projects.
- Project Management: Maintain calendars, track progress, and coordinate schedules to align merchandise launches with JOOPITER’s auction calendar and cultural events.
- Product Coordination: collect samples, monitor production milestones, and aid in vendor communication.
- Cross-Functional Support: Work with creative, marketing, and logistics teams to prepare product launches and ensure readiness across all touchpoints.
- Data & Reporting: Manage product records, SKUs, cost sheets, and status trackers; assist in preparing reports and presentations.
- Market Research: Monitor competitor launches, pricing, and merchandise trends to provide supporting insights. Administrative Support: Manage day-to-day communications, file organization, scheduling, and meeting preparation for the merchandise function.
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of experience in merchandise coordination, retail operations, fashion production, or project administration.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, project tracking tools, and database management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with both internal teams and external vendors.
- A proactive, resourceful approach with strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience at a fashion brand, specifically in development, production, merchandising, or wholesale, is required.
