About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a growing and innovative organisation, where you can develop and advance your career in financial management and accounting.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with policies, and supporting efficient financial operations. You will have the opportunity to work across a range of financial functions, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to continuous process improvements in a fast-paced, creative environment.
We are seeking a well-rounded professional who is comfortable managing day-to-day transactions, financial reporting, and ad hoc tasks, while also eager to take on new challenges and grow within the business.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including invoice processing and credit control.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Support month-end closing processes, including journal entries and fixed asset management.
- Support payroll processing (prior experience highly preferred but not essential).
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly VAT returns, and compliance reporting.
- Contribute to the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and processes.
- Provide support during statutory audits, ensuring timely preparation of required documentation.
- Assist in revenue recognition and cash flow tracking.
- Help maintain and improve business platforms, including financial software and reporting tools.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and contribute insights to support business decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Studying towards or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Payroll experience highly desired but not required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial software (NetSuite experience is a plus but not required).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with an eagerness to learn and grow.
Salary Pay Range
£25,000 - £40,000 GBP
