Senior Associate, Trust Officer - New Hampshire
We are seeking a driven Trust Officer in New Hampshire to support the growth of our trust company. This is an opportunity to work alongside an experienced team of trust professionals, dedicated to providing the highest level of client service to the select families we support. About the Role
The Trust Officer is responsible for the ongoing administration of a select book of client accounts, primarily consisting of fiduciary accounts for which Jordan Park Trust Company (JPTC) serves as Trustee, but also encompassing other related accounts where JPTC is engaged to provide ancillary wealth management services. Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the relationship manager of JPTC trust engagements
- Overseeing the professional administration of trusts in accordance with the applicable governing instrument(s) and relevant law
- Reviewing legal instruments including trusts, wills, operating agreements, leases, purchase and sale agreements, transfer instruments, delegation agreements and other ancillary documentation
- Interacting with attorneys and tax advisors regarding trust and estate planning matters
- Managing disbursement requests and approvals for daily trust activities
- Coordinating the account acceptance process and onboarding of new trust clients
- Serving as an active, contributing member of JPTC’s Trust Committee, providing thoughtful consideration of fiduciary activities, policies, and procedures at both the company and client-specific levels.
- Assisting tax preparers with annual fiduciary return preparation, ensuring tax compliance, and coordinating quarterly tax payments
- Engaging with affiliates and team members on company-wide initiatives
About You
- Have a bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of experience administering a wide range of trust accounts in both unitary and bifurcated trust governance structures
- Have extensive knowledge of trust administration, fiduciary accounting, and trust reporting standards
- Are well-organized and deadline driven
- Have experience working with high-net worth clients and their intermediaries and advisors
- Enjoy working in a small, lean, and entrepreneurial work environment
- Thrive while working in a collegial team environment and enjoy helping others
- Maintain relevant professional certifications, such as the CTFA, TEP, or CFP
Also considered, but not required:
- Working knowledge of NH trust statues and the trust statutes of other favorable trust jurisdictions
- Experience with FIS AddVantage trust accounting software
- Certifications in related areas such as compliance or insurance
