JRC is currently seeking an Assistant Special Security Officer (ASSO) Analyst II. This role is responsible for direct support to the Portfolio Acquisition Executive Strategic Systems Programs (PAE SSP). This position will be required to interface with all levels of department, division and government management, personnel and maintain the skills to cultivate relationships for optimal contract security performance.
The position is responsible to provide security oversight and guidance to TS/SCI and NATO programs. This position will report directly to the Portfolio Acquisition Executive Strategic Systems Programs Special Security Officer (SSO). The ASSO Analyst II works under the general administrative control of the SP2021 Branch Head, and under the direct supervision of the SSP Special Security Officer (SSO), who provides general outline of work to be performed. Incumbent performs technical security support duties in the SSP Sensitive Compartment Information Facility (SCIF) located within the PAE SSP HQ on the Washington Navy Yard (WNY) its associated tenants, agencies, and organizations. Incumbent functions as the Special Security Representative / Security Manager for the SCIF as required by PAE SSP guidance.
💼What You'll Do
- Developing, advising, and maintaining SCI policies and procedures
- Overseeing and providing recommendations during the construction or modification of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF). Preparing Fixed Facility Checklists
- Conducting and tracking indoctrinations, travel briefings, and debriefings. Issuing courier cards
- Preparing, submitting, and tracking SCI nominations
- Conducting random and self-inspections
- Conduct intrusion detection system response force testing and random entry/exit inspections
- Visitor control, retrieving and processing visitor clearances and maintaining the SCI visitor control databases – upon completion of provided training
- Make initial eligibility determination recommendations to the Government using DISS and/or Scattered Castles in accordance with applicable policies
- The ASSO may be asked to perform other security functions as is necessary to meet mission requirements
🧠What You Bring to the Table
- Individual must be a security professional with a minimum of three (3) years of security experience and two (2) directly related to special security programs.
- Familiarity with the NISPOM, ICD 705, ICD 704
- ICD 705 certification a plus
- Site Security Manager certification a plus
- Contractor personnel proposed and/or selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must possess a current Top Secret security clearance and be eligible to receive favorable access to sensitive compartmented information.
