Job Summary
The Early Career Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading the full-cycle recruitment and execution of JRM’s early talent initiatives, including the summer internship, rotational, and SkillBridge programs. This role will develop and manage strategies to attract, engage, and convert high-potential students, recent graduates, and transitioning service members across key business functions, while delivering a best-in-class candidate experience.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, people-oriented recruiter who excels at building relationships and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. They will represent JRM at campus events, forge university partnerships, and collaborate internally to meet early career hiring goals. This role demands strong communication, professionalism, and a passion for developing early talent.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for early career programs, including JRM’s summer internship, rotational, and SkillBridge initiatives.
- Develop and execute targeted campus and early talent strategies to attract high-potential students, recent graduates, and transitioning service members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partner universities and technical programs; represent JRM at virtual and in-person events to elevate employer brand awareness.
- Manage all aspects of the 10-week internship program, including onboarding, supervisor identification, planning volunteer and networking events, feedback collection, and coordinating return offers.
- Oversee the SkillBridge program by recruiting eligible active-duty service members, defining role expectations, collecting feedback, submitting reports to the Department of Defense, and facilitating full-time offers.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand talent needs, align on hiring goals, and ensure a smooth and timely interview and selection process.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization including learning & talent development, HR, operations, and department leads to support seamless onboarding, program success, and long-term talent integration.
- Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience through clear communication, timely follow-up, and personalized engagement.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS); track key metrics to inform hiring strategies and optimize recruiting performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance the efficiency, consistency, and impact of early talent recruitment initiatives.
- Stay current on trends and best practices in early careers and campus recruiting to ensure programs remain competitive and compelling.
Qualifications and Skills
- 2+ years of experience in university recruiting or working with students/recent graduates.
- Passionate about supporting early career talent and fostering their professional growth.
- Strong brand ambassador with enthusiasm for representing JRM at campus and recruiting events.
- Outgoing, approachable, and comfortable engaging with diverse groups.
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and responsive to both candidate and hiring team needs.
- Flexible and able to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
- Willing to travel during peak recruiting seasons.
- To the extent this position is performed in New York City, the annual salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000
