Director, Product Management

As our Director, Product Management, you will be responsible for shaping the product life cycle of our product suite from concept through successful release and ongoing operation. The role will be responsible for understanding market opportunities and the needs of key stakeholders, contributing to product strategy and roadmap, and managing and prioritizing an ongoing backlog of projects based on corporate, industry, and customer needs. You will work in a collaborative environment in a cross-disciplinary team as they contribute to our product vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with VP of Engineering to define and drive product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market plans aligned with company objectives and market opportunities
- Serve as the primary product partner to Engineering, defining clear product requirements and goals and helping to prioritize and plan development sprints.
- Own end-to-end product success, including defining KPIs, monitoring performance and adoption, and iterating based on data and feedback
- Champion the voice of our partners through regular engagement with health plan partners, clinical users, and operations teams
- Embed with Engineering throughout the development lifecycle, providing clear requirements, rapid feedback, and decisive direction to keep teams moving
- Participate actively in sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives) to unblock progress and maintain momentum; run daily standups to foster team accountability and uncover roadblocks.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing strategic initiatives with tactical improvements
- Define and document business requirements, user experiences, and system specifications within a structured product development process
- Lead user research initiatives and acceptance testing programs to validate product decisions
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or in a related product role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into product decisions
- Experience writing business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to launch
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to executives and diverse audiences
- Experience interfacing directly with customers and translating feedback into product improvements
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare, health tech, or working with health plans/payers
- Background working in early-stage or high-growth startup environments as the first Product hire
- Formal training or certifications in Product Management or Business Analysis
- Experience with prototyping tools and wireframe creation
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern product development practices
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles

Compensation Range: $150,000 - 175,000/year + company equity
