DWH Engineer I (ETL)
Role Purpose: We are seeking a Data Warehouse Engineer i to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting across various business domains. This entry-to-mid-level role is ideal for someone with strong SQL skills, experience in data modeling and reporting, and a passion for working with large datasets to deliver actionable insights. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient data processing
Example Responsibilities:
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, primarily using SQL queries against SQL Server databases.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security
- Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for business decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, business stakeholders) to understand data requirements and deliver relevant insights
- Ability to analyze large datasets, identify key trends, and draw meaningful conclusions
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot data issues and optimize data processes
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in data warehouse development and operations.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, building data products and performance tuning
Great to have Experience and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python for data manipulation and automation is a plus
- Exposure to Bitbucket and Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA).
