Role Purpose:

Jumio Solutions Engineers help customers understand how to get the best out of our products. They provide technical and functional expertise for our Jumio Platform, including our award-winning identity verification, biometric technology and powerful risk signals. in collaboration with colleagues from Sales, Product, Engineering, Account Management, and Marketing.

Increase pipeline conversion rates to grow revenue, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are just some of the high-value outputs from the Solutions Engineer. You will play a major role in improving and expanding the existing processes such as pre-sales technical presentations, product testing, integration, and customer onboarding. You are the subject matter expert for how our solutions can add value to the customer's user journey, specifically through the web, mobile SDK and different API channels. Your performance has a direct impact on the overall sales team's effectiveness. Ultimately, it's about helping to drive continued growth and success while growing your own career.

Example Responsibilities:

  • Lead the pre-sales activities, including asking investigative questions to understand the intended use case and propose recommendation(s) on how best to implement our solution to meet their requirements
  • Creating and leading customer-facing technical presentations
  • Deliver live demo, showcasing our technical capabilities and the best of the Jumio Platform
  • Actively aiding the Bid Management team in the completion of solution proposals, RFPs, and RFIs
  • Managing the onboarding of enterprise customers from kick-off meetings with business and project teams to Go Live
  • Provide technical and functional subject matter expertise for Jumio suite of products and APIs.
  • Working closely with Product Management, Marketing, and other business units to maintain and improve the technical and functional knowledge of existing and new product features
  • When required, deliver a bespoke demo for selected customers

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven professional experience of 3+ years in Technical Pre-sales, Technical Implementation Management, or Technical Consulting roles, including exposure to complex environments
  • Strong customer-facing experience, used to interacting with all levels and departments across enterprise customers
  • Strong presentation and customer-facing skills combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth technical knowledge, including web or mobile programming (iOS, Android) and scripting languages (including, but not limited to Java, .NET, Swift).
  • Experience in integration APIs
  • Comfortable in a rapid growth environment with high degrees of autonomy and ambiguity - used to navigating the challenges and opportunities in a start-up or scale-up business

Great to have Experience and Qualifications:

  • Existing knowledge of the Identity verification, AML, or KYC market and the competitive landscape
  • Knowledge of user digital onboarding, payment, and/or risk management systems
  • Degree education in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering)
  • A 'customer success' mentality, able to make using our products as painless and positive as possible for customers - leading to increasing volumes of transactions

Compensation

The hiring range for this position includes a base salary from $93,000 to $102,000. This is based on Jumio’s US national salary band for the role. Geographical adjustment is applied for tier 1 locations and more may be available based on your skills and experience. 

This position also qualifies for uncapped sales commission.
