Sr Manager- Data Analytics
Role Purpose

Example Responsibilities
1. Data Platform Modernization & Architecture
-
Lead end-to-end modernization of legacy SQL Server BI solutions (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS) into cloud-native AWS Medallion architectures.
-
Architect scalable, cost-efficient data models using Iceberg, Redshift, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and related AWS ecosystem tools.
-
Ensure continuity of user experience while evolving backend systems to more modern, resilient, and performant designs.
-
Drive creation of cloud-ready data pipelines, semantic layers, and analytics structures that replace on-prem multidimensional cubes.
2. Advanced Analytics & Cube Design
-
Perform in-depth analysis of existing SSAS multidimensional cubes, including data models, MDX logic, calculations, KPIs, and partitioning strategies.

Design and implement equivalent or improved cloud-native analytical cube constructs, ensuring high interactivity and query performance at scale.

Develop semantic layers aligned to business personas for dashboards, self-service analytics, and Excel-based pivot consumption.
3. Data Engineering Leadership

Own and optimize data ingestion, transformation, quality, governance, and orchestration layers across Bronze → Silver → Gold.

Establish engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices for cloud-based data pipelines.

Oversee performance tuning, cost optimization, and proactive monitoring across the platform.
4. DevOps, DataOps & Observability
-
Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management for ETL/ELT and analytics workloads.

Champion observability practices (logging, tracing, metrics, alerts) for cloud data systems.

Foster a culture of automation, speed, and reliability across the SDLC value chain.
5. Governance, Security & Compliance
-
Ensure adherence to data governance, lineage, security policies, and compliance standards.

Oversee access controls and audit readiness across cloud data layers.
6. Performance Management & Tracking
-
Set and articulate clear team and individual goals aligned with company objectives.

Develop and oversee execution strategies to ensure targets are met.
-
Track, report, and escalate progress, delays, and risks to leadership.

Hold team members accountable for performance and responsibilities.

Propose new initiatives that contribute to growth and efficiency.
7. People Leadership & Development

Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and guidance through regular, quality 1:1s and review cycles.

Oversee employee development and create opportunities for personal/professional growth in alignment with business needs. Including developing future leaders and conducting succession planning.

Delegate tasks effectively to empower and upskill team members.

Recognize and reward strong performance to sustain morale and motivation.

Manage the full employee lifecycle, from hiring to exit.

Act as a point of escalation for conflict resolution.
