Role Purpose 

To work as a controller in the Rental Fleet Management [RFM] team supporting our designated customers by arranging short term and core hire equipment in line with our master agreements.  Deliver a high level of customer service and supporting internally to help maximise Ebit in both rental and full-service cost centres.

 

Role Responsibilities 

  • Manage ad-hoc and peak hire requests with the customer and account managers.
  • Provide clear and up to date delivery plans for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with UK workshop for delivery of short-term rental [STR] and used equipment in line with customers’ expectations.
  • Raise job cards.
  • Work with contract managers to help increase Ebit in full service.
  • Assist with administration and reporting of the RFM core fleet. 
  • Ensure accurate records on one note system.
  • Ensure that all trucks placed into the RFM fleet are to the correct standard and specification.
  • Raise purchase orders for ancillary equipment.
  • Organise transport for delivery and collection.
  • Ensure that all hire agreements are set up and invoiced correctly in line with master agreements.
  • Source trucks from other rental fleets in Europe when required.
  • Produce statistics as required by RFM team for customers as required.
  • Ensure all damage is captured and invoiced according to company process.
  • Check for block billing to ensure that month end invoicing is clean.
  • Ensuring assets are all linked correctly in SAP.
  • Dealing with invoice queries.
  • Work with order processing when new or refurbished trucks being ordered from factory to help raise delivery plans for customers and service.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Head of Rental Fleet Management.

 

Person Specification 

Skills: 

  • IT literate – Confident with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good time management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work under pressure, putting the customer at the heart of what we do.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Qualifications: 

  • A good level of general education is required. 

Experience: 

  • SAP Knowledge.
  • Product knowledge desirable but not essential.
