The Role 

Purpose of the position: 
Reporting to the Energy Infrastructure Manager, this role is an essential link between the customer solutions provided by the entire sales force (regional, key account, and corporate accounts) and matching this to the infrastructure that exists within a customer’s application to help secure new business. The Energy Infrastructure Coordinator will support the Energy Infrastructure Manager in developing and implementing charging infrastructure solutions for warehouse operations with a main focus on lithium-ion. This role involves assisting with charger installations, layout designs, project management, energy solutions (including energy storage and electrical power), and implementation management. Over time, the individual will take ownership of projects and develop expertise to manage infrastructure solutions independently.


To provide technical support to the sales force regarding energy and power requirements for materials handling fleets and battery charging infrastructure in both lead acid and lithium ion applications, where often new cabling is a requirement for a newly proposed charging solution.

Working alongside the sales force, provide advice and guidance for renewable energy to our customers to work alongside Jungheinrich electric materials handling fleets within a customers application.

Guarantee the dissemination of knowledge and expertise for energy infrastructure and provide sales support on new and existing applications to allow the entire sales force to achieve the sales objectives (Lithium Ion Vs Lead Acid Quota, Order Intake, Profitability, Market Share, and EBIT) set by JH UK. 
It is these sales objectives that reflect the efficiency of the Energy Infrastructure Manager

Role Responsibilities

Provides expertise and sales support with new and existing customers for the following:

  • Assist in designing and implementing lithium-ion charger infrastructure and energy solutions.
  • Support the development of charger layouts and electrical power solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new installations.
  • Manage documentation, reports, and compliance with relevant energy regulations.
  • Over time, take on independent project management responsibilities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, energy solutions, and technological advancements.
  • Work closely with the Energy Infrastructure Manager to develop skills and transition into leading projects.
  • Facilitate field site visits to offer technical support on battery charging infrastructure for materials handling fleets on the customer's premises.
  • Provide site reports/sketches with commercial summaries as needed to allow a proposed charging infrastructure to match with the customer’s current or proposed fleet charging requirements.
  • To work alongside the training team for Lithium Ion customer solutions, support, and training for the sales teams.
  • Provide knowledge and support of renewable energy solutions and advise on how this can be utilised within a customer’s own infrastructure to power the materials handling fleet.
  • Share knowledge of power load management for a customer’s site concerning energy availability for battery charging.
  • Communicate results and findings in written report formats as well as personally presenting findings to the customers.
  • To provide commercial quotations for the required scope of supply.
  • Supporting the sales teams nationally with site visits
  • Centralise information and ensure the relationship with the production sites and the group's marketing strategies.
  • Refreshes and communicates technical and commercial documents related to the products and solutions.
  • Develop new marketing tools for the sales teams and methods.
  • Ensures competitive intelligence in connection with energy management with the field and market information
  • Provide support in commercial aspects on important sales with the occasional participation to the answers (Site Surveys, demonstrations, energy analysis, etc.)
  • Follows the regulations and communicates their impact to the customers via sales.
  • Provides energy and business expertise in support of vendors and solicits support for Jungheinrich AG production sites for special applications.
  • Follows the marketing of products and shares knowledge with the marketing department to support marketing campaigns:
  • Analyse the results, propose and deploy the corrective actions (price, options, etc...)
  • Proposes a customer targeting strategy with, for example, the typological approach of customers by sector of activity
  • Have an understanding within the UK market on the JH product range
  • Contributes to the reinforcement of the knowledge and the diffusion of knowledge "Energy Management"
  • Participate in national and international fairs.
  • Create internal events (workshops, commercial plenary) on the subjects relative to your Products portfolio
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of the training modules of the commercial network
  • Participates in the development of cross-product communication materials for vendors.
  • Takes responsibility of and applies the processes and work instructions in force in the company as defined in Ju-Man-V4-UK and the standards, rules and guidelines of hygiene, safety, and environmental protection applicable within of the establishment.
  • Attends and completes the Train the Trainer modules 1 & 2 to offer product support for the training team

 

Person Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence (national travel).
  • Level 4 or Level 5 HND in Electrical Engineering.
  • C&G 2382-18, 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations.
  • Background in electrical installations, electrical engineering, electrical systems, energy solutions, or a related field.
  • Understanding of energy storage, power distribution, and charging solutions (or willingness to learn).
  • Project management and problem-solving skills.
  • National coverage, so remote working is essential.
  • Have an understanding of renewable energy solutions and advise on how this can be utilised within a customer’s materials handling fleet.
  • Experience with warehouse/industrial wiring is essential.

  • Understanding of regulatory standards applicable to the business and the processes required to be compliant with them.
  • Ability to foresee problems and identify possible solutions or step in to ensure the problem is eradicated at the earliest opportunity.
  • Adaptability and an eagerness to learn.
