Role Purpose

  • Allocating existing engineering resources in order to meet customer expectations in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Providing good communication at all times to both internal and external customers.
  • Making sure that all incoming planned and unplanned work is reviewed, planned, prioritised, assigned and completed.

Role Responsibilities                                               

  • Ensuring that incoming work is accurately diagnosed and required parts are ordered and fitted.
  • Repair and replacement of cells, stacks, control units and diagnosis via CanBus systems.
  • Carrying out repairs as per company guideline systems (JETI etc) and H&S compliance.
  • Completing the above work to company standards in terms of quality and time scales
  • Accurate and timely completion of inspection/defect reports
  • Accurate and timely processing of company documentation (reports timesheets etc) and relevant updating of company records via P.C.
  • Observing and maintaining health and safety and on-site housekeeping to company standards
  • Cover for other colleagues in the workshop team if required on MHE repair 
  • Site visits if required 
  • Liaison with internal customers and support departments

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Workshop Supervisor, Head of Operations or Director Sales Management

Role Requirements 

  • We are looking for an electrical for an individual from a electrical, mechanical or MHE engineering background. Preferably with battery maintenance or electrical engineering experience
  • The ideal candidate will hold a driving license and have a good level of education.
  • They will also have experience of working workshop environment

  • Good team worker

Skills: 

  • Electrical and/or mechanical engineering background preferably in battery or electrical engineering
  • Literacy and numeracy skills to a level to follow technical instructions
  • Basic computer inputting skills

Qualifications:

  • Apprenticeship or other Engineering vocational qualifications
  • Experience: Engineering background
  • Physical requirement: Physically fit

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience of working in Materials handling
