Position Summary
The Manager, Donor Relations will work with JA USA donor partners to ensure grant objectives and contractual requirements are met, and resources are allocated to the donors’ satisfaction to support renewed funding. This role will manage assigned corporate and foundation grants, ensuring deliverables are accomplished. The position will collaborate with Development Team members in support of JA offices receiving program implementation grants and with cross-functional team members on large-scale curriculum and project grants.
Essential Functions
- Partner with a resource development team member to co-manage a multi-million-dollar donor portfolio.
- Steward assigned donor relationships to help secure renewed financial commitments.
- Oversee pass-through grants by coordinating with donors and JA offices to achieve predefined project goals and objectives.
- Manage grant-related communications with donors and JA representatives via email, phone, and meetings in a positive, professional manner.
- Draft and submit timely, accurate donor reports.
- Manage grant budgets and prepare financial reports, including variance explanations as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional JA USA teams to communicate project goals and ensure deadlines are met.
- Lead donor and internal team meetings; monitor project milestones, identify risks, and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate donor activity records in the Blackbaud Constituent Relationship Management (BCRM) system.
- Support and coordinate special donor relations projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in grant stewardship, fund development, account/project management, customer service, or a related area.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and diplomacy.
- Experience handling confidential information.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
- Ability to travel 2–4 times per year.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in fundraising or corporate relations.
- Familiarity with CRM database systems.
- Knowledge of Junior Achievement’s learning experiences and program delivery strategies at the local level.
US - Remote Pay Range
$55,000 - $65,000 USD
