Manager, Strategy & New Ventures
About the job
About Juno
Juno leverages collective bargaining power to secure better student loan rates for higher education students. With 290,000+ members and over $2B in negotiated loan volume, we've proven that group buying works. We are the most popular way to pay for the world's top graduate programs, and we're expanding what a Juno membership is worth.
The Problem
Federal lending reforms have created a significant market shift. In July 2026, new caps on federal graduate loans, including the elimination of Grad PLUS for new students, came into effect, leaving millions of students with significant funding gaps. Students need transparent, competitive private options.
Our members trust us with one of the largest financial decisions of their lives. That trust is worth far more than a single loan.
Your Mission
Juno has 290,000 members who came to us for one product. We're building a portfolio of financial products and benefits that follows them from school into their careers.
You'll own that expansion. Each new product is yours from the first market question through to the first cohort of members using it. You'll pick the partners, build the case, and run the launch.
This is the widest surface area at Juno and the shortest path from a decision to a launch.
What You'll Do
- Launch new products and member benefits end to end. Size the opportunity, select the partner, build the plan, ship it, and own the result.
- Own the analysis behind the decision. Unit economics, market sizing, and build versus buy versus partner diligence that leadership acts on.
- Carry our largest partnerships. Own major distribution and integration relationships day to day so they compound rather than stall.
What We Offer
Compensation: $115,000 to $140,000, plus variable compensation tied to performance.
Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and retirement matching.
What We're Looking For
- Background: 2 to 4 years in management consulting, investment banking, or a high-growth startup, or you've built something of your own.
- Ownership end to end. You've taken something from a blank page to live in market.
- Commercial judgment. You decide what to launch from real member research, then read early signals to make the call to scale it or wind it down.
- Comfort with ambiguity. You're handed a goal rather than a plan, and you come back with a recommendation and the steps to get there.
- Technical leverage. When the tool you need doesn't exist, you build it. AI tooling and APIs are how you already work.
The X-Factor
- You're resourceful: constraints are where your best ideas have come from.
- You're persuasive: you can get a partner, a lender, or a room of executives to say yes.
Interview process
Intro chat with the hiring manager, a case study exercise, cross-functional conversations with senior leadership, and references.
