What you are accountable for:
The Manager, Search is accountable for managing search strategy, optimization and execution across all in-house platforms and works to ensure the highest level of quality work, strategic thinking, and collaboration with both internal and external partners for a select group of accounts. Working in close collaboration with media and search team leads, you will manage all aspects of the campaign life cycle as it pertains to paid search including ownership of the day-to-day responsibilities across active campaigns.
In addition, the Manager, Paid Search will support agency education on the capabilities within these platforms through ongoing meeting facilitation, note taking, and POV creation.
What you are responsible for:
Internal
- Holistic ownership of client accounts, including strategy, planning, budgeting, and reporting
- Provide strategic and executional support to team members on a variety of clients with different complexities and backgrounds
- Troubleshoot issues/concerns and work with online partners to resolve as needed
- Proactively communicate with client and internal teams; prepare call agendas, and follow up with call recaps
- Develop keyword lists, set budget levels, write ad creatives, test landing page messaging, landing page layout, audience segmentation, placements, networks, and 3rd-party tools
- Perform in-platform maintenance and optimizations
- Own regular budget pacing and monitoring for live campaigns to ensure accurate spend delivery, along with any recommendations on strategic test opportunities
- Produce and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly campaign reports measuring performance and effectiveness of search campaigns
- Maintain quality control while ensuring projects and campaigns are executed completely, correctly, accurately, and efficiently for clients
- Ensure tactics and vendors utilized are GDPR compliant and ensure all internal processes and procedures are followed, including those specific to certain clients based on their own contractual agreements
- Exhibit the ability to anticipate and solve problems
Customers
- Ability to support onboarding of new clients in close collaboration with all internal teams throughout the onboarding process
- Translate marketing goals and brand positioning into viable media communication strategies and ideas across paid search landscape
- Drive high-value customers to interact with our clients’ products and services
- Discover and deliver new and innovative solutions to executing paid search campaigns based on specific client business issues and challenges
- Work closely with account and media leads to ensure strong senior client relationships on select group of accounts
Market Knowledge
- Keep pace with search engine and PPC industry trends and developments
- Core understanding and knowledge across digital media landscape and where paid search intersects
- Participate and contribute to agency thought leadership initiative, as applicable
Management Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with search engine partners
- Ensure process and activation best practices are used across select group of accounts
- Mentors Coordinator and Associate level team members regarding SEM best practices and internal processes
- Support internal training and development initiatives specific to SEM best practices and internal processes
